LFW SS13 Fashion Retrospective

We LOVE BOLD Brows!

I had the pleasure of working on a fabulous show this LFW at Bloomsbury Ballroom, Victoria House for Fashion Retrospective!

The Catwalk Show exhibited beautiful one off-pieces from the worlds finest Fashion Houses and Collections!

The Shows Head Make-up Artist was the fabulous and hugely talented Issidora and Head of Hair the amazingly creative Nina Butkovich-Budden!! The team involved of freelance Hair and Make-up Assistants and lovely AOFM graduates too!

You can view more of their work at www.ninashairparlour.com

The Make-up design was created by Issidora to look very contemporary as the collection is genuine Vintage and the designers wanted a visible contrast with Vintage elements.

It was all about BIG BOLD BROWS and flawless skin!!

We had the pleasure of being provided with kits from Cosmetics a La Carte!

The products were as follows:

Skin Velvet Foundation-Medium coverage, Silky foundation with a demi matte finish. Beautiful to apply with a healthy glow to the skin, worked well on all the models regardless of skin types!

Custom Made Eyeshaddow Palette- From soft Champagne, Star, Pearl, Beige to a beautiful peach! High definition Pigments custom blended for that perfect colour and texture!

Matte Outliner- (Black) Long wearing waterproof formula. I was so impressed by this product its a absolute MUST HAVE for any make-up artist kit! I will be investing in many more shades!!

Lip Lacquer- (Plum) Sheer tinted gloss for a beautiful natural stained lip! Plum was a beautiful shade that worked on ALL of the models!

Divine Lash- (Black) Beautiful long wearing mascara with easy non clogging build up formula gave all the models stunning naturally full lashes!

The show was a HUGE success and Im glad to have had the pleasure of being part of it! I was still drawing those brows in my sleep that night!

Cocktails and Cake Pops!

My first blog post this is super exciting!

I've been meaning to start this for a while what a better time then now!

I was lucky enough to be part of Vogues Fashion Night Out and worked with a wonderful team for Karen Millen which was headed up by the very talented Mira Parmar!

It was such a fantastic night full of cocktails, cake pops, beautiful clothes, mini make-overs and lots of happy clients!

The looks we were creating were to go hand in hand with Karen Millen's winter campaign which is full of beautiful shades of reds, berries and cherries!

For this we used a selection of fabulous products from Illamasqua!

I was super super super excited to have the opportunity to experiment with the two new palettes from the 'Generation Q' collection!

Empower £34 - Stunning collection of neutral tones!
This is a make-up bag staple eyeshaddow pallet that everyone should own! Such a perfect collection of neutral tones that would work from day to night seamlessly! I found these worked well on all clients regardless of their skin tone, type or age! The high pigment finish lasted extremely well throughout the night while the ladies partied away!

Complement £34 - Autumn classic!
Im a massive fan of Illamasqua's liquid metals they are a firm staple in my make-up kit and I was so excited to find that they had included 'focus' which is a beautiful cool brown metallic shade! This works extremely well as a base for the rest of the eye shadows to sit on! I started with 'forgiveness' which is a rich chocolate plum shade up to the crease and blending this out with 'slink' which is a soft champagne shimmer (works beautifully  as a highlighter on top of cheeks too!) whilst using 'Queen of the Night' deep plum along the lash line and on the bottom lashes! This just needed a few good coats of mascara to finish the look! A firm favourite on the night!

And not to mention a wonderful collection of red shades of lipsticks ranging from:

Box - Deep Scarlet Red (All time favourite lipstick!)

Maneater - Classic Cherry red matte finish (Lush on the lips!!!)

Tramp - Rose red matte finish (Looked beautiful on fair skin)

Encounter - Classic all time red matte finish (Perfection!)

All in all a fabulous night, really looking forward to next year!
